I have always had a love for movies, tv shows, cartoons, and video games since I was a child. I own a massive collection of films, boxsets, and video games which is still growing to this day and I have watched and played at least one movie or video game once, and I am subscribed to a lot of major services that provide me with a wide library of movies, tv shows, and video games such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, PS Now, and many more. My passion for these industries has only grown more to this day, to the point I have dreamt about working in these industries since I was a kid, whether that is animating, shooting films, and writing scripts and screenplays.

I’ve always been invested into major film, tv shows, and video game franchises. It is interesting to get invested into these frictional characters and worlds who live in a very different world to myself, and how they can relate to the real world. Their stories have always been fun ones to watch. Whether that is Sci-Fi Fantasy worlds such as Marvel, Star Wars, sporting series focusing on an underdog going against all the odds such as Karate Kid, and Rocky, or crime films that are based on true story such that show the rise and fall of famous gangsters like the Kray Twins, Henry Hill, and many more.

Films, Video Games, and TV Shows have always been a good talking point when socialising. It is always interesting to learn about someone’s favourite type of film, and shows to watch, and type of games they like to play. It not only helps build up bonds, but it gives me new ideas on what to watch, and what games to give a try. For example, when I first started University, one of my course mates who I met on the first day and really gelled with, recommended I watch a show called BoJack Horseman, and in the evening I watched the first episode and I was so invested into the show that it not only has become my favourite animated show ever, but potentially one of my favourite shows of all time, and probably the TV show I recommend to everyone.

Game over: A great short film, that captures a major concern in modern day society in how people to try to escape reality through videos games, gain an addiction that allows corporation to capitalise with in-game purchases. Also, the film delves into how gaming addiction have an impact upon the social interactions and the amount time wasted playing games and not going out and living to the fullest. I looked forward to watching more of Chike Okeke’s future works and seeing what he ready for us all next.
